THE VISION
Co-produced by Howie’s Events International (HEI) & Diner en Noir – Washington, DC (#DENDC), The Frequency: DC a new twist on community, connection, culture, creativity, & catching the vibe! The launch event, entitled “The Silent Resurrection,” and subsequent events blends the hottest of DMV locally rising music scene with a 2-session silent headphone experience, immersive performances, and interactive engagement — designed to build a recurring, monetizable platform for emerging talent and nightlife lovers alike.
The Frequency Headlining Artist will perform a 15-minute concert into a mic streamed directly into the silent disco headphone with the matching frequency. Throughout the 2-hour session, a curated playlist of DMV artists, which will be streamed into the earphones. Each artist included in the curated Playlist of the Evening will also have their visuals (video or album artwork) screened throughout the event and include a QR code allowing for instant in-event purchase/download of the music.
SOUND STRATEGY – OUR REVENUE FRAMEWORK
Rather than placing financial responsibility on our partners, we’ve created a revenue-generating approach that:

Eliminates the need for venue/partner contributions toward equipment

Recoups all headphone-related costs via pre-sold sessions

Creates paid exposure for artists through feature fees + playlist sales

Provides direct-to-consumer product placement for local liquor sponsor(s) via included cocktails and event partners.

ARTIST ENGAGEMENT

Artist visuals will feature QR codes for in-session music purchases

Artist of the Night Contest: The winner, which will be determined by the majority votes via a QR code cast by the session's participants, will receive $150.00 and have a chance to be The Frequency Spotlight Artist of the next event.

1 mic’d mini performance per session by The Frequency Headlining Artist of the Night. The Frequency Headlining Artist will receive a $250.00 performance/booking fee.
